MetaMask is a browser plugin which connects with the Ethereum blockchain so you can link your Ethereum wallet with NGO Xchange. Simply put, it’s not possible to purchase, transfer or redeem NGO Coin without MetaMask on NGO Xchange.
Here is how you can install MetaMask plugin.
For all transactions that take place on Ethereum blockchain, a transaction fee called “gas” has to be paid. Owner of the wallet who initiates the transfer must pay the fees for transaction and since we do not control your wallet’s private keys, you must pay the fee for transaction.
Ethereum requires the fee to be paid using Ethers so you must purchase some Ethers using the wallet from which you wish to make the transfer. You can purchase Ethers from MetaMask directly via Coinbase if you’re based in United States or any other country supported by Coinbase.
Transaction fee depends on many thing but generally speaking, the fee should be less than $1 USD (as on 1st April, 2018) for most of the transfers. If you plan to make many transfers then you can purchase Ethers accordingly. Note that you can purchase Ether is small quantity, e.g. Ethers worth $50 USD should be good enough for 50+ transactions.
You can also refer to https://ethgasstation.info/ to check the current average transaction fees on Ethereum blockchain.
Unfortunately it’s not possible to recover NGO Coin sent to an unintended recipient. Make sure you always copy paste the recipient address instead of manually typing it in “To Address” field.
We recommend that when you first transfer to a wallet, send a small amount and get confirmation from the recipient. If the intended recipient successfully received NGO Coins then send the intended number of NGO Coins by using the same “To Address”. Note that this would result in paying transaction fee twice however it’s always safer to do it this way.
For making a redemption request, you first need to add a bank account and must have positive balance in your Ethereum wallet added on NGO Xchange. For making the request, you need to specify the Ethereum wallet from which you wish to redeem NGO Coins, the bank account in which funds (in USD) should be transferred and the amount of NGO Coins that wish to redeem.
On receipt of redemption request, we initiate bank transfer from our account to specified bank account in your request.
